At the Pietra Erta Mill, our mission is to produce exceptional extra virgin olive oil that reflects the purity and power of our land. Opened just last year, our state-of-the-art, two-phase mill uses cutting-edge technology to cold press olives without the addition of water—unlike traditional three-phase systems. This innovative approach preserves the full flavor, aroma, and nutritional value of our oil. As a central hub in the city of Formia, we proudly mill olives not only from our own groves but also for local producers who share our commitment to quality.
Vision
We envision Pietra Erta as a symbol of excellence in olive oil production for the Lazio region and beyond. With over 4,000 olive trees, we cultivate the prized Itrana olive—a variety native to our territory and renowned for its bold, complex flavor. This is the olive we use exclusively in our oils. While our Gaeta olives are carefully harvested, packaged, and sold as whole fruit, they are not used in our oil production. Every drop of Pietra Erta oil tells the story of local tradition, innovation, and the deep roots we’ve planted in Formia’s fertile hills.
